It all started in a small laboratory located in the historical centre of the Italian town of Piacenza during the late 1980’s. Davide Groppi was inventing and
producing his first lamps and for lack of a better name, he decided just to use his own name for the company.


Creative independence and passionate, unconventional management have allowed him, over time, to learn and develop his very own brand of original and
unique products, currently distributed the world over.
He puts his heart and head into every lighting project; his intuitions come from a certain way of being and thinking.


Simplicity, weightlessness, emotion and creative invention are the fundamental components of each lamp or light project designed and created by Davide
Groppi.


Groppi has always worked with a faithful group of collaborators who share his vision and help him to develop ideas and bring them to fruition.
The first Spazio Esperienze (experience space) in the world, a dynamic and authentic approach to exhibiting Davide Groppi lighting solutions for designers
and architects, was opened in Piacenza in December of 2012.
Davide Groppi’s NULLA and SAMPEI projects received important recognition during the 23rd edition of the prestigious Compasso D’Oro awards in 2014.
